How to Care for Your New Cutting Board/Charcuterie Board/Chopping Block Board
Never wash it in the dishwasher or let it soak in water.
Do hand wash with warm water and dish soap, and dry promptly.
Apply a light coat of mineral oil, or cutting board oil, regularly. Let it soak in for a few hours or overnight, and then buff with a clean dry cloth.
For a deeper cleaning, sprinkle coarse salt and rub with half a lemon. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then scrape it off and rinse with warm water. Dry immediately.
